The Role
The HR Manager is an integral member of the site leadership team, responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resources function. This role involves developing and implementing HR strategies that are aligned with operational goals, and leading initiatives to foster a positive work environment, enhance employee engagement, and maintain compliance with legal and regulatory standards. The HR manager is supported by the Head of Human Resources, a HR Administrator and the wider HR COE Team.
This is a permanent role which offers a Monday - Friday work schedule and will involve the successful candidate being present on site each day.

Key Accountabilities
Employee Relations & Engagement:
1. Act as the primary point of contact for employees, addressing queries and concerns to promote a positive working culture.
2. Resolve employee grievances, disciplinary issues, and conflict resolutions effectively and in compliance with company policies and local labour laws.
3. Support employee engagement initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and fostering a culture of collaboration, trust, and inclusivity.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
1. Work with the Talent Acquisition Team to oversee and manage the recruitment process, from job postings to interviewing and onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition for new employees in line with business needs.
2. Work with line managers to identify staffing needs, define job specifications, and promote the company as an attractive employer.
Performance Management & Training:
1. Support the implementation of performance management processes including appraisals, feedback, and development plans.
2. Collaborate with department heads to ensure effective training programs are in place, improving skills and meeting health and safety standards for manufacturing employees.
HR Administration & Compliance:
1. Oversee all HR administrative processes such as employee records, absence management, and maintaining HR systems.
2. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR policies and industry best practices to ensure compliance and minimise legal risk.
Health & Safety Compliance:
1. Assist in promoting and ensuring health and safety standards are adhered to on the shop floor and across all operations.
Reporting & HR Metrics:
1. Provide regular HR reports to the Head of HR – ROI on key HR metrics, such as employee turnover, absenteeism, training hours, and performance.
Skills And Experience Required:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role, ideally within a food manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, or a related field.
3. Strong knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and HR best practices.
4. Proven experience in recruitment, onboarding, and employee engagement.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the business.
6. Ability to handle sensitive HR matters with discretion and confidentiality.
7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
8. Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office, and other relevant HR software.
