Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
The role of Assistant Director of Nursing is a senior clinical position that reports to the Director of Nursing. The ADON will provide clinical leadership, manage day-to-day clinical practices, and work collaboratively with the DON as part of the senior management team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Clinical Practice: Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing care that meets individual patient needs by reviewing nursing documentation, participating in handover, and troubleshooting clinical issues.
* Support and Development: Provide direction, mentorship, and regular communication to CNMs and other staff members. Conduct performance appraisals, education, and professional development objectives.
* Clinical Governance: Regularly review residents' documentation, ensure timely assessments, care planning, and implementation of care. Investigate complaints and liaise with multidisciplinary teams, relatives, and families.

* Excellent Leadership, Organisational and Communication skills
* Able to collaborate effectively within a senior management team
* Sound decision-making ability
Preferred Qualifications:
* Management course
* Oncology or palliative experience preferred
* Previous management experience
