Job Purpose:
As an HVAC Design Lead, you will play a key role in the Cleanroom Division’s Building Services Design Department. You will be responsible for the development and delivery of detailed design and construction information for mechanical and HVAC systems. This role includes managing and supporting Design and Build technical activities within the cleanroom sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed design information for mechanical/HVAC systems for cleanroom projects.
Ensure designs comply with client and industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Implement engineering procedures for all building services work.
Provide technical support during the tendering process.
Conduct market research on HVAC products and materials for project specifications.
Foster a collaborative culture within the Engineering Team and across the organization.
Build and maintain relationships with customers, end-users, and supply chain partners.
Stay updated on statutory and regulatory developments, trends, and new technologies relevant to HVAC and Cleanroom systems.
Qualifications & Experience:
Essential:
Chartered Engineer status.
Proven experience in managing a team within an HVAC/Building Services environment.
Experience in design and build projects for Cleanroom facilities.
Strong understanding of best practices for mechanical/HVAC design in cleanroom environments.
Proficiency in BIM using Revit MEP and other relevant MEP design software.
Knowledge of standard forms of contract, including Design and Build contracts.
Familiarity with statutory and regulatory procedures in building services.
Experience in estimating, procurement, and payment terms.
Ability to produce technical tender submission documents.
Desirable:
Expertise in technical innovation and value engineering.
Strong knowledge of customer relationship management (CRM) methods.
