* Assisting in the planning and implementation of a stimulating, developmentally appropriate play-based program for children and their families
* Taking an active role as part of the Centre’s professional child care team
* Providing a warm and nurturing environment for children and families and act as a positive role model for both
* Ensuring the health and safety of the children
Hours & Compensation
* Are you available to fill shifts scheduled Monday to Friday at our various Childcare Centre locations in Kitchener?
* Pay Range: $22 to $29 per hour (based on current funding) + 2% in lieu of benefits
* Hours/Shift: Scheduled based on needs of the program

* Knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the area of Early Childhood Education and development.
* Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Ministry Registration # (asset)
* Previous experience working with children
* Knowledge of and familiarity with the Child Care and Early Years Act and use of environmental assessment tools.
* Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with staff, parents, children, and the public.
Mandatory Qualifications
* Current Vulnerable Sector Check document
* Standard First Aid and CPR Level-C certification
* Vaccine Verification - As a condition of employment you are required to provide confirmation that you are vaccinated against COVID-19 or have proof of valid exemption satisfactory to the employer.
