About Our Client
Our client is a leading supplier of water treatment components in Ireland with over 30 years of experience within the water pumping and treatment industry. They are seeking a Sales and Business Development Manager to build and maintain long-term profitable relationships, requiring previous experience in the water / water treatment / utilities sector.
Main Responsibilities:
* Developing new business opportunities.
* Sales strategy development and execution, working individually and with existing sales teams.
* Identifying new opportunities in existing and complementary sectors.
* Supporting the bid process, including application, fulfillment, demos, and pricing.
* Proactive development of sales pipelines.
* Strategic account management.
* Business development with existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities.
* Customer relationship management.
* Gauging and supporting customer satisfaction.
* Uncovering and sharing industry and sector intelligence with Management and sales teams to inform business and product strategy.
* Engaging with product management functions to inform problem or opportunity-oriented roadmaps.
* Authoring marketing materials, such as white papers, sharing trends and subject matter expertise.
* Conference attendance and lead generation.
* Hybrid working with 60% customer visits.
Requirements:
* 5+ years of sales and business development experience in a similar industry (water / water treatment / utilities).
* Experience in the water / water treatment / utilities sector is essential.
* Ability to translate technical and business requirements and adjust communication approach depending on the audience.
* Strong technical and product background.
* Demonstrated ability to develop strong relationships with customers, leading to a deep understanding of their products and long-term business strategies.
* Ability to build strong internal and external relationships to support delivery and implementation while enhancing customer experience across all touchpoints.
* Experience showcasing products and services as a strategic fit for customers through sales presentations, conferences, and networking events.
* Ability to work individually and within a small team.
