Position: Service Engineer
Location: Field based - Midlands, Laois, Tipperary, Offaly, Westmeath, Carlow, Kilkenny
Job type: Permanent, Full Time
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday - 9.00am - 5.00pm with a 30-minute lunch.

The impact you will have Working as part of the Service division based in the Republic of Ireland, you will be responsible for the servicing of medical devices within acute hospitals, long-term nursing units, as well as private customer homes and charitable organizations.
You will manage your own stock, which can either be delivered to your home or arranged for collection at designated points.
The majority of equipment you will be working with includes overhead hoists, beds, mattresses, baths, trolleys, and bed pan washers.
This is an excellent time to join our business as a Service Engineer in this busy, fast-paced position covering the Republic of Ireland.
All IT equipment such as iPad and iPhone will be provided, as well as a company van which can also be used for private use if necessary.
A valid driver's license is essential, and you will need to supply documents for Garda Vetting as you will be working in areas with vulnerable people.
You need to work independently and be able to prioritize your workload, which will be sent directly to your personal iPad.
It is essential that you have a methodical and practical approach to complete all work orders in a timely manner, ensuring limited disruption to patients or hospital staff.
Key Duties and Responsibilities: Carry out service itinerary in accordance with company and service procedures, whilst seeking to optimize use of time and minimize associated costs.Ensure full knowledge of products being worked on, as well as company and local health and safety requirements to ensure work on customer premises is done professionally and safely.Complete and submit all relevant documentation accurately and within agreed timescales.Inform staff of the reason for visit upon arrival at customer premises and request permission before carrying out required work.
Ensure the work area is clean and tidy upon completion, with disposal of parts and chemicals in line with site instructions.Provide feedback and recommendations to Arjo following visits to customer premises, contributing ideas and observations for ongoing improvement.Maintain personal appearance and hygiene to exemplary standards in keeping with the company's market area and ethos.Maintain all tools, spares, and equipment in a safe working condition, highlighting any unsafe items to the Line Manager immediately.Liaise with Arjo Service Admin and customer contacts to advise intended appointment times and duration of work, ensuring customers are fully informed.Knowledge/Skills/Experience: City and Guild/NFQ Level 6 or higher or similar qualifications in mechanical/electrical engineering.Mechanical/electrical engineering experience – essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills along with competent computer skills.Demonstrated flexibility and ability to motivate others.Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.Experience working at heights.Experience in the use of power tools and following installation manuals.Requirement to travel and overnight stays in various locations within ROI.Must hold a full driving license.A Garda Vetting check will be carried out (at the cost of Arjo).We will provide you with an excellent package including competitive salary, overtime, bonus, and a favorable shift rota.

Upon commencement of employment, we will provide comprehensive product training at our dedicated Technical Training Centre based in the UK.
