Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer
Job Description
We are recruiting a Student Recruitment and Marketing Officer to provide marketing and recruitment support for postgraduate taught and research courses.
The successful candidate will contribute to the achievement of the University's postgraduate student recruitment goals by ensuring that courses are widely promoted through a variety of channels including print, virtual and in-person events, social media, and email communications.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supporting the Senior Student Recruitment Manager (Postgraduate) in marketing and recruitment operations;
* Co-ordinating recruitment events, both virtual and in-person, including overseeing event set up, operations, and promotion to ensure strong attendance;
* Identifying new opportunities to promote the University's Postgraduate offering to prospective audiences;
* Developing email communications for prospective students and applicants to aid conversion;
* Assisting in managing the University's Postgraduate social media channels, including content creation, scheduling, and maintaining an active online presence;
* Liaising with academic staff and colleagues across multiple central administrative offices on the set-up and management of programmes on the University's systems;
Requirements:
* A Level 8 Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject and three years' professional experience working in a higher education setting or a similar large organisation;
* Previous experience in marketing, communications, and/or event management, ideally in a higher education setting;
* A proven track record of delivering campaigns and projects on time;
* Excellent IT skills, including Microsoft Office;
* Previous experience with using marketing and/or event platforms such as Canva, GoToWebinar etc is highly desirable;
Terms and Conditions:
Applicants should note that at certain critical periods, there may be a requirement to work outside normal office hours, including weekends, in order to meet specific deadlines.
It will not be possible to take significant amounts of annual leave at certain critical periods for this post.
