WHY THIS ROLE IS VALUABLE
The Processing Specialist role will have end to end responsibility for the administration, control, management & processing of cream & buttermilk at KGP. This will include responsibility for key process metrics within the processing area, and leading continuous improvement projects within the process area aimed at delivering impactful value to Kerrygold Park.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
* Overall responsibility for cream control and management into Kerrygold Park including PO creation, release & maintenance.
* Overall responsibility for control & management of buttermilk at Kerrygold Park.
* Primary point of contact & relationship manager for all cream suppliers.
* Manage cream supplier & buttermilk processor relationships and performance through establishing consistent communication links with the creation and use of balanced scorecards.
* SME for intake, liquid processing & pasteurisation, lactic culture & salt room controls and churning at Kerrygold Park.
* SME for all liquid CIP controls including Churn CIPs.
* Responsible for delivery of key performance metrics within the processing area.
* Lead continuous improvement projects within the intake, process, & churn (including lactic & salt preparation) processing areas.
* Investigate and solve problems that impact work processes & performance within the processing area.
* Work closely with departments such as Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and Engineering to ensure alignment in our productivity & performance goals.
* Provide day-to-day support to Production Manager, Assistant Production Manager, and Productivity Specialist as required, including holiday cover, Core Payroll, M3 Management.
* Take a supporting role in training of all Shift Managers, Shift Coordinators, and various team members relating to processing area as required.
* Take a supporting role in training compliance in association with the Training Specialist in relation to the processing area.
Key Requirements
* Good working knowledge of cream processing and butter churning.
* Ability to identify, lead, and implement continuous improvement projects at pace and with proven track record of delivering impactful results.
* Proven track record of achieving performance targets against set KPIs.
* Excellent communicator, capable of building and maintaining good working relationships with external suppliers and multiple internal departments.
* Strong attention to detail with respect to administration tasks.
* Ambitious and results driven person, who possesses a desire to continuously improve.
* IT literate with good Excel skills. M3 working knowledge an advantage.
* Knowledge of Scada system and Orbis system an advantage.
