Fitzwilliam Lawn Tennis Club is recruiting for a part-time Sports Assistant, to assist with the day to day running of the Club's busy sports schedule. The right candidate will have the ability to assist with the administration of leagues, internal and national events as required, as well as being a point of contact on a Saturday & Sunday during leagues and other periods throughout the year. The role involves working with the Club's members, committees and management team, in an efficient, friendly and helpful manner, while ensuring that all duties are conducted to the highest standard. Main responsibilities include: To maximise usage of clay courts through active management of watering & covers Assisting and promoting all Club sports and fitness activities Liaising with and supporting Director of Rackets and Sports Co-ordinator, as required To be a first aider on duty (training provided if required) To assist in maximising all court usage and recording guest attendance/payments To assist in running of Internal Tournaments, National Tournaments & ad hoc events Liaise with management team, as necessary Assisting in the reporting of player and team participation To become the Clubs Employee League Liaison working under the Director of Rackets and in tandem with any Club League Liaison officers and captains when required To be present for club internal sporting events and competitions To substitute coach / supervise play as necessary Benefits include: Meals on duty Annual Bonus Bike to work scheme Staff events throughout the year Training & development Employee Assistance Program Job Type: Part Time, approx. 20 hours per week, dependant on events / leagues Pay: €15.00 per hour Work Location: Onsite (Ranelagh, Dublin 6) Work Pattern: Daytime / Afternoon & Evening availability, including weekends
