The role will require traveling to various sites and locations across the South East of Ireland.Overview of role:We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Quality Officer with a strong background in Civils to join our team and play a crucial role in the successful delivery of a large-scale Fiber-to-the-x (FTTX) rollout project. The Quality Officer will be responsible for ensuring all civil construction works are carried out to the highest quality standards, in compliance with all relevant regulations, specifications, and industry best practices.Key Responsibilities:Conduct regular site inspections to monitor compliance with project specifications, drawings, and quality plans.Review and approve construction materials and Reinstatements (Purple Book Standard).Identify and document any quality non-conformances and initiate corrective and preventive actions.Monitor and track the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.Conduct quality audits and prepare audit reports.Implement and maintain the quality control system.Conduct inspections and tests on completed works to ensure they meet the required standards.Work closely with subcontractors to ensure they understand and adhere to quality requirements.Communicate effectively with site personnel, subcontractors, engineers, and project managers on all quality-related matters.Build and maintain positive relationships with all stakeholders.Identify areas for improvement in quality processes and procedures.Implement and monitor the effectiveness of continuous improvement initiatives.Stay abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes.Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements:Quality Management /Quality Assurance certification would be an advantage.Previous civil experience in a similar role.Excellent verbal and writing communication skills.Ability to find opportunities to improve and extend their contribution to the organisation and their teammates.Strong planning and organising skills.Ability to work as part of a team and independently.Demonstrated experience in the use of Microsoft Office packages; ArcGIS experience would be an advantage, however, training can be provided.Full Driving Licence and willingness to travel.Manual Handling.Safe Pass.For more information on the Gaeltec team, please visit our website www.gaeltecutilities.com.Gaeltec Utilities are an equal opportunities employer and are committed to creating a diverse working environment.
