The Company:
Our client are a family-run mechanics business located in Naas, Co. Kildare. With a strong reputation for delivering exceptional customer service and high-quality workmanship, we are looking for a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a Front of House Administrator / Bookkeeper. This role is central to the smooth running of our business, combining administrative, customer service, and financial responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Administration:
* Serve as the first point of contact for customers, both in person and over the phone.
* Answer incoming calls, respond to customer inquiries, and provide information about our services.
* Schedule and manage appointments for NCTs, vehicle servicing, and repairs.
* Maintain an organized and welcoming front office environment.
* Manage correspondence, including emails and postal mail.
Order Management:
* Order parts and materials needed for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
* Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts and materials.
* Track orders and manage inventory levels to ensure the workshop runs smoothly.
Bookkeeping:
* Maintain accurate financial records using bookkeeping software.
* Process invoices, receipts, and payments.
* Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
* Prepare financial reports for management as required.
* Assist with payroll processing.
Office Management:
* Ensure the office is well-stocked with necessary supplies.
* Assist with general office tasks as needed to support the team.
The Person
* Previous experience in an administrative or bookkeeping role, preferably within a customer-facing environment.
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with bookkeeping software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
* Knowledge of the automotive industry is an advantage but not essential.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team.
* High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in financial record-keeping.
The Offer:
* Competitive salary between €35,000 - €38,000 per annum.
