Our client, a leading Property Management firm, is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist to join the team on a full-time basis. In this job, you will lead privacy and data responsibility programs across the firm and be responsible for ensuring compliance with Privacy, Data, and AI laws. This role will be based in office full-time during probation.
Key Responsibilities of the Data Privacy Specialist will include:
* Operate as DPO for the firm and fulfill all related obligations as mandated under the EU GDPR and other relevant frameworks.
* Manage privacy control frameworks, conduct regular risk assessments and audits to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
* Respond to data protection queries and issues, both internally and externally.
* Work with key stakeholders to identify business requirements resulting from new and evolving privacy laws and regulations.
* Manage, monitor, and negotiate privacy-related commercial terms (e.g., Data Protection Agreements) with suppliers and clients.
Key Requirements of the Data Privacy Specialist will include:
* At least 3 years’ experience in a data privacy/data protection officer role.
* Must hold a Professional Certification in data protection (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, ISO27001).
* Extensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to Irish and EU Privacy, Data, and AI laws.
* At least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, i.e., Legal, Business, etc.
* Strong understanding of AI ethics and data responsibility.
