Area Manager - Dublin
QR Select are recruiting an experienced area manager to work with a leading Pharmacy retail chain across the Dublin region.
MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Drive sales, margin and return on space to agreed targets.
2. Improve the overall commercial performance of both the Retail and Dispensary areas of the business.
3. Deliver exceptional retail standards across your territory.
4. Develop and motivate all pharmacy employees to deliver company expectations by giving direction and instruction where necessary.
5. Ensure all new processes and procedures are implemented at store level.
6. Build strong relationships with the pharmacy manager to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the pharmacy.
7. Monitor and control all operational costs.
8. Recruit the best possible applicants for your stores/ensure the best people are recruited by Franchisees.
9. Develop staff to achieve their full potential, including coaching and mentoring the pharmacy managers where applicable.
10. Ensure weekly KPIs template is completed on time and accurately.
11. Identify exceptional performance where necessary and take the necessary remedial action or maximize the over-performance.
12. Develop robust and detailed action plans for all stores covering all KPI’s.
13. Constantly analyze the revenue drivers and explore methods to improve them in each pharmacy, providing end-to-end solutions.
14. Apply improvements across all pharmacies in line with company policy.
15. Ensure compliance to preferred supplier lists to maximize margin.

1. Merchandising and pricing.
2. Staff appearance.
3. Window displays and exterior appearance.
4. Category Management plans.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED
1. A minimum of 5 years management experience within the pharmacy or wider retail market.
2. Strong people management and influencing skills.
3. A proven track record of sales growth and business development.
4. High achiever with determination and drive to succeed.
5. Capable of driving business profitability by implementing good business controls.
6. Excellent communication, planning, organization and analytical skills.
7. Organized, flexible, motivated and a hard-working leader.
8. Retail business degree or equivalent.
9. Full driving license.
