Job Description
A senior sales and business development executive is required by our logistics client, a global leader in logistics services. This is a field-based role ideally based in Cork.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop a portfolio of accounts through targeted business development and existing client network.
* Meet with prospective clients to provide tailored consultative services.
* Promote company products and services through product presentations and demonstrations.
* Work strategically with the IRE sales team to plan and create sales strategies and activities to increase personal and group profitability.
* Serve as an initial point of contact for commercial customer enquiries, escalations, and queries.
* Submit regular reports on personal budgets, opportunity pipelines, and activity statistics using Salesforce.
* Promote, develop, and maintain specific markets, products, and customer relationships to meet budgetary requirements.
* Maximise profit potential through regular reviews and identification of new opportunities.
* Manage client base, resolving operational and financial issues through operational management.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5+ years sales/Bd experience within freight forwarding or similar environment.
* Full driving licence.
* Computer literate with knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
* Confident, flexible, friendly, approachable, and quick-thinking individual.
