Deli Supervisor
Main Purpose:
The Deli Department should always operate efficiently and effectively, providing customers with excellent quality products and services.
Main Duties:
* Prepare the deli section for customer service.
* Implement planograms correctly to ensure maximum efficiency.
* Minimize waste and shrink in the department by implementing effective stock management practices.
* Conduct regular research and benchmarking to stay up-to-date with fresh food innovations and implement new ideas in the department.
* Train all new employees on deli procedures and best practices.
* Handle customer queries efficiently, professionally, and consistently with store policy.
* Evaluate and adapt to new initiatives and ways of working.
Ideal Candidate:
* Minimum 1 year of experience in supervising fresh food departments.
* Fully trained in HACCP and food safety, with experience in meeting relevant requirements.
* Experience in ordering for deli departments and managing waste within a fresh food department.
* Ability to manage resources effectively.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Passionate about the food industry, creative, and innovative when it comes to fresh offerings.
* Customer-focused, able to build a loyal customer base.
* Able to inspire, lead, and motivate employees through support and development.
