Digital Media Executive

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of our client Sport Ireland for a Digital Media Executive to join their Marketing and Communications unit.
Job Purpose
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Affairs, Communication and Marketing, the Digital Media Executive at Sport Ireland will play a key role in executing digital media strategies to enhance Sport Ireland’s online presence, engage stakeholders, and promote its initiatives.

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Social Media Management:
Manage Sport Ireland’s social media accounts, ensuring consistent and engaging content that reflects the organisation’s values and initiatives and is aligned with broader public relations and communication strategies. Monitor social media trends, track performance metrics, and provide insights for continuous improvement. Ensure timely and appropriate responses across digital platforms, monitoring sentiment and feedback.
2. Content Creation:
Create engaging and impactful content for various digital platforms, including social media, websites, and other online channels that align with Sport Ireland’s marketing objectives and brand identity. Create visually appealing and compelling multimedia content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, to support and amplify digital campaigns and key organisational communications. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure content aligns with Sport Ireland’s organisational goals and messaging.
3. Website Management:
Assist in maintaining and updating Sport Ireland’s website content to ensure accuracy, relevance, and a positive user experience. Collaborate with colleagues in the broader Communications, Corporate Affairs and Marketing Unit to implement digital enhancements and improvements.
4. Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with Marketing and Brand Manager and Communications Manager to identify and leverage digital opportunities for stakeholder engagement. Foster positive connections with the online community and respond to inquiries or comments professionally.
5. Analytics and Reporting:
Monitor digital analytics, track key performance indicators, and generate regular reports to evaluate the effectiveness of digital media strategies. Provide recommendations for optimising online presence based on data-driven insights.
6. Other Responsibilities:
Undertake any additional duties as required by Sport Ireland that are pertinent to the role and organisational needs. Use shared tools like content calendars, project management apps, and communication platforms to improve collaboration and efficiency.
Qualifications
The post-holder should have an appropriate primary degree or relevant experience.
Person Specification
The post-holder will be expected to have at least 2 years of experience in digital media, content creation, or related roles, with a demonstrated understanding of marketing and branding principles. Ideally, the post-holder will have:
* Proven experience in managing social media accounts and successfully implementing digital campaigns.
* Strong creative and visual communication skills.
* Proficiency in graphic design tools, video editing software, and other relevant digital media applications.
* Demonstrated adaptability and initiative in a dynamic team environment, actively contributing to collaborative efforts and taking ownership of digital media projects.
* Creative problem-solving skills to address challenges and explore innovative digital solutions.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines without compromising quality, while remaining flexible and proactive in responding to changing priorities or unforeseen challenges.
* A commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in digital media, actively contributing to continuous learning within the team and integrating the latest insights into Sport Ireland’s digital strategies.

Additional Information:
Contract: Full-time, permanent.
Salary Scale: Executive Officer Standard Scale. The appointment will be made on this scale at a point in line with current Government Pay Policy. New entrants to the public sector commence on the first point of scale.
