Post Summary:
The Library of Trinity College Dublin, The University of Dublin is now accepting applications for a full-time term-time Library Guard. The post holder will join a team of 11 Library Guards in the Library who monitor the Library’s reading rooms. The work pattern is a 39-hour week, 33 weeks per year, working every Saturday, as follows:
Monday to Thursday 16:00 – 22:30
Friday 16:30 – 22:30
Saturday 08:30 – 16:30
This role provides security and health & safety for the Libraries on-campus reading rooms in the Library complex and the Hamilton Library. It facilitates access via the opening hours of the listed Libraries to students, academics, and researchers.
Post status: Specific Purpose Contract
The specific purpose of this role is to fill a Library Guard vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from authorised leave.
Hours of Post: 39 hours per week
Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Merged Library Guard Salary Scale (€1,284.48-€1,452.91 per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
