Job Description We currently have an opening for a Senior Manager Visual Inspection in our NPI Biopharma operations team.
This is an opportunity to work in our state of the art Core 1 Biologics facility in Westport, Co. Mayo one of our centers of excellence for aseptic sterile manufacturing.
The Senior Manager Visual Inspection Core 1 is responsible for overseeing the visual inspection process in the AbbVie Westport manufacturing facility.
The senior manager is responsible for ensuring that the visual inspection process meets quality standards and is completed on time and within budget.
The senior manager is responsible for managing the visual inspection team and working closely with other departments to ensure all products are inspected and released on time Responsibilities : • Develop and implement visual inspection processes and procedures to improve efficiency and quality for both commercial and NPI products.
• Manage the visual inspection team, including hiring and evaluating employees.
• Meet with other departments to coordinate visual inspection schedules and ensure timely delivery of products.
• Ensure that visual inspection process meets quality standards and regulations.
• Develop, maintain and review visual inspection limits • Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies Qualifications • Level 8/ Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an engineering or Science related field or equivalent relevant experience.
• 5+ years of experience in management in a GMP function ideally in a visual inspection role • Strong knowledge of visual inspection materials and processes.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for packaging.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
