Position Overview
Autodesk revenue analysts are a clever and intelligent bunch who are responsible for the most important line on our Income Statement – REVENUE! As a member of this team, you will assist and perform contract deal reviews, help support multiple partners throughout a deal's life cycle and work with your team and other groups to come up with ideal solutions to complex arrangements. You will report to the revenue accounting manager and work with your manager to ensure accurate revenue reporting under ASC 606. You will also help reconcile different GL accounts at quarter-end in addition to preparing several ad-hoc analyses when needed. Every day is a new challenge, and you will look for ways to help our team get better at what we do, in the most efficient way possible. Responsibilities
1. Perform deal and contract reviews while gaining technical expertise under ASC-606 with detailed documentation of accounting positions
2. Work by providing deal support and technical expertise to several of our teams within Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, Premier, and the broader Finance organization
3. Prepare quarterly audit schedules and periodic reports to support internal and external reporting requirements
4. Work with your Revenue Accounting colleagues and respective partners to maintain SOX Compliance
5. Identify and support process improvement projects
6. Work on different Revenue Accounting projects
Minimum Qualifications
7. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business
8. Qualified Accountant, ACA / ACCA required
9. 5+ years of relevant work experience
10. Big 4 experience preferable, with relevant revenue recognition experience
11. Excellent quantitative, analytical and data mining skills
12. Experience with monthly and quarterly close activities, account reconciliations, problem resolution, audit schedule preparation and working with external and internal auditors.
13. Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with a focus on revenue recognition (ASC-606).
14. Experience working with SAP and/or Business Objects
15. Proficiency in Excel
16. Effective communication skills
17. Enthusiastic and creative with the ability to inspire, and encourage others, in both relationships with customers and peers
