Department: Food & Beverage
Responsible To: Bar Manager / Food and BeverageManagement
Main Purpose of Job: To assist in the supervision of the Bar Operation at Trump International Doonbeg, ensuring the provision of a friendly and efficient fivestar food and beverage service withinthe dining and any other food and beverage service areas.
Liaises with: Culinary Department, Stewarding, Reservations, Front Desk
MAIN DUTIES
1. Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of each menuitem presented to our members and guests.
2. Assist with interviewing,selecting, training, supervising and monitoring bar associates to ensurethe efficient operationof the department.
3. Assist in ensuring consistent five-star service througheffective monitoring of standard operating procedures and ensure adherence to these standardsby regularly and fairly holdingstaff accountable for their performance.
4. Assist in communicating any pertinent information to the staff through team briefings.
5. Ensure adequate staffinglevels and scheduleand direct staff in their work assignments.
6. Assist in ensuringbar and food outlets work closely togetherto ensure the best serviceto our members and guests.
7. Communicate our servicesand facilities to guests as required.
8. Address any customerconcerns in a professional mannerand notify management of same.
9. Deliver careful monitoring ensuring that no person under the age of 18 is servedalcoholic beverages.
10. Ensure that all guests requestsare responded to immediately.
11. Ensure that all standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
12. Ensure that all orders are entered into the companyPOS system.
QUALIFYING CRITERIA
13. A thorough knowledge and understanding of beverage service.
14. Previous supervisory experience.
15. Knowledge & experience of five-star hospitality an advantage, andworks to a high quality standard.
16. Resourceful andself-motivating.
17. Good organisational and problem-solving skills.
18. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
19. Customer focused,with a positive, can do attitude.
20. Ability to work flexible hours.
21. Ability to remaincalm whilst under pressure.
22. Must be over 18 years of age due to serviceof alcohol.
