Responsibilities of the Payroll Lead Job include:
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the accurate and compliant processing of fortnightly payroll. You will be involved in all aspects of PAYE Revenue reporting, preparing necessary reconciliations, supporting the month-end process, driving compliance, preparing reports, providing inputs for cash flow forecasting, being a key point of contact for stakeholders, inputting into audits, Financial Statements and budget processes. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate on projects as part of a continuous improvement program.
* End-to-end processing and payments of fortnightly Payroll and deductions for staff and pensioners.
* Ensuring all employees and deductions are accurately paid over on time and in accordance with policies, procedures, and statutory obligations.
* Preparing necessary reconciliations and returns such as Pension and CSO in line with deadlines.
* Supporting the month-end process as required.
* Driving compliance and adherence to the policies set down by Revenue, Government Bodies.
* Preparing high quality reports and ad-hoc returns to external stakeholders.
* Providing inputs relating to Payroll for cash flow forecasting of payments.
* Being a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including HR, Revenue and external service providers.
* Input into the preparation of the internal and external audits, Financial Statements and budget process.
* Collaborating on projects as part of a continuous improvement program.
Requirements of the Payroll Lead Job:
The ideal candidate for this Lead Payroll Job will bring excellent organisational skills along with strong technical abilities. You should hold at least an NFQ degree level 7 qualification along with IPASS or equivalent. With at least 5 years of relevant Irish Payroll processing experience under your belt, you should be comfortable with managing priorities and meeting strict deadlines. Your excellent MS Excel skills will be put to good use in preparing payroll journals and monthly reconciliations. A 'can-do' attitude and flexibility when faced with new challenges will be key to your success in this role.
