Retail Marketing Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a sales-focused Retail Marketing Manager to drive foot traffic and sales growth for our stores. This role will focus on developing and executing local marketing strategies, including in-store displays, signage, community engagement, partnerships, and traditional media outreach. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of retail marketing principles and a proven track record of success in increasing store performance and managing a team.
Responsibilities:
* Drive sales through marketing initiatives: Your primary focus is to drive sales through marketing initiatives.
* Footfall driving: Have demonstrable experience of driving footfall through marketing initiatives.
* Support sales advisors: Have demonstrable experience of how marketing support enables sales advisors to increase sales and earn excellent commission in a target-driven sales environment.
* Measure marketing initiatives: Have demonstrable experience with examples and data as well as KPIs of how you have previously measured marketing initiatives in terms of increased sales.
* Utilize marketing tools: Have demonstrable experience of using different marketing tools to drive sales in different regions in Ireland, with an understanding of regional tastes and effective marketing tools.
* Develop and implement local marketing plans: Create and execute marketing campaigns tailored to individual store locations, considering demographics, competitive landscape, and seasonal trends.
* Manage in-store marketing materials: Design, produce, and distribute effective point-of-sale displays, signage, and promotional materials.
* Build local partnerships: Identify and cultivate relationships with complementary businesses, community organizations, and local media.
* Oversee traditional marketing initiatives: Utilize traditional marketing channels such as print advertising, radio, and direct mail.
* Collaborate with store teams: Work closely with store managers, staff, area managers, and merchandisers to ensure marketing efforts align with store operations and sales goals.
* Analyze and report on marketing performance: Track key metrics such as foot traffic, sales conversions, and ROI to evaluate marketing campaigns.
* Conduct competitor analysis: Regularly research and analyze competitor marketing activities to identify opportunities to differentiate our brand.
* Manage marketing budget: Develop and manage the local marketing budget.
* Stay up-to-date on industry trends: Continuously research and analyze retail marketing best practices.
* People development: Mentor and drive personal and professional development initiatives for team members.
Qualifications and Experience:
* A track record of increasing sales through marketing initiatives in a multi-store retail environment.
* Proven experience in retail marketing, focusing on driving foot traffic and sales.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and relevant marketing software.
* Experience with budget management.
* Creative problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset.
* Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
* Best in class people skills.
* Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field desirable.
* Experience with local marketing partnerships and community engagement.
* Knowledge of the local media landscape.
* Experience in the furniture industry.
* Proven experience working directly with retail stores or in a retail environment.
