We are recruiting for a Meetings & Events (M&E) Executive for a Maternity Cover (fixed-term) contract.
The Reservations Office at the Carlton Hotel Dublin Airport is one of the main liaison points between guests/clients and the Hotel, as well as working closely with other Hotel departments.
The M&E operation, sitting within Reservations, has a significant bearing on our guests'/clients impression of the Hotel, as well as being a key revenue driver.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Executive to join our busy Reservations Team.
You will be dealing with high volumes of meetings/events-related reservations and associated enquiries, and all enquiries must be dealt with in a friendly but professional, comprehensive and efficient manner.
You will be genuinely caring and have very strong organisational and interpersonal skills, key to this important customer-facing/interfacing role.
You will be hard-working, have a great attitude, and delight in providing excellent customer service.

Dealing with inbound M&E enquiries in a friendly but professional, timely, comprehensive, and efficient manner, including taking, recording/processing, and cancelling reservations To assist with the maximisation of meeting room and other associated revenue, occupancy percentages, etc., through efficient and effective sales/upselling activities, in conjunction with the Reservations Manager/wider Meetings & Events Team and with the other relevant Departments To ensure all corporate/guest requests and other relevant information is confirmed with the client and communicated to all relevant Departments in a clear and timely manner To build strong relationships with corporate clients/guests Attending meetings as required To ensure all charges are properly communicated and processed Dealing efficiently and politely with corporate client/guest feedback Ideally, bringing forward initiatives and innovations for consideration Ensuring that you maintain the highest possible standard of personal hygiene, uniform, appearance, body language and conduct at all times Adhering to our health & safety training, policies, and procedures Engaging in planning activities as required Successful applicants must: Ideally, have at least two years of previous, relevant M&E experience within the Hotel / hospitality sector Demonstrate a willingness to learn, as training will be provided Have a calm, efficient, professional and organised approach to your work Be highly motivated, and have excellent presentation and interpersonal skills Demonstrate the highest level of attention to detail Be business-minded, always seeking opportunities to maximise sales and profitability Be able to work hands-on, as part of a Team or on your own initiative Be fully computer literate (incl.
