Position Summary
This role is responsible for general ledger related reporting duties for North American entities, working closely with the Transaction Processing group in Athlone.
Main Responsibilities
* Assist in preparation of US GAAP accounts and month-end close
* Completion and review of Balance sheet reconciliations
* Presentation of financial data on a timely and accurate basis
* Supporting the preparation of forecasts and annual plans
* Preparation of detailed Cost Centre analysis
* Ensuring integrity and SOX compliance of financial, administrative, and legal controls
* Compliance with VAT, tax, and fiscal requirements
* Preparation of information requested by internal and external auditors
* Ensuring integrity of internal financial controls
* Ad hoc tasks to support Finance Function
Education and Experience Requirements
* Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
* Bachelor's degree or diploma in Accounting or related field
* Previous experience in a Shared Service Centre
* SAP user level experience
* Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality
* Excellent IT skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
