This market-leading catering company specialising in high-profile, high-end and high-volume events is currently recruiting a Sales & Events Executive to maximise event/venue sales through proactive sales activities, as well as manage the event cycle from initial enquiry through to billing and follow up.
* Achieve monthly KPIs and targets as set out by the Sales and Events Manager
* Research and target specific market segments through sales activities
* Seek out new business leads
* Develop and maintain a database of existing and potential customers, identifying new opportunities and following up on existing leads
* Issue invoices and follow up on payments
* Represent the venue at client evenings and networking/trade events as required
* Monitor reactive enquires via phone and email
* Send out proposals and follow ups
* Negotiate and contract new business
Event Management responsibilities:
* Responsible for the successful execution of events from initial enquiry through to completion and follow up
* Maintain excellent communication with all other departments on event details and plans
* Diary management
* Manage BEO’s and support the full sales team in an administrative capacity
The ideal candidate:
* Minimum two years’ experience in a proactive sales environment preferably in venue/hotel/agency
* Diploma level qualification in Business / Hospitality related discipline an advantage
* Fully proficient in the sales process: chasing leads, closing sale, contract negotiations, client visits
* Fully proficient in the event process: client visits, event brief issue, deposit collection and billing follow up
* Creative thinker and innovative problem solver
* Proactive team player with an established knowledge of the industry
* Strong systems skills: proficient in MS Office, Salesforce/Delphi knowledge an advantage
* Excellent planning and organisational skills with a high attention to detail
* Advanced written and verbal communication skills with fluent English
* A passion for excellence customer service
* Flexibility with work schedule, working 5 days over 7
