Soil Sustainability Program AssistantScope and
PositionThe role of the Soil sustainability program assistant will
be to support the IT and Sales/Marketing teams with tasks related to the soil
sustainability program lifecycle. The job involves physical inspection of soil
samples received at the quality control check point in Ballymount head office
prior to dispatch to the relevant labs for analysis. Samples need to be
inspected for physical quality, QR codes on soil sample bags need to scanned
and crossed check with our internal database to ensure all information is
correct. The samples will also come with a GPS track that will need to be
linked to a geographically identified parcel of the relevant farm. One all
checks are completed the relevant samples need to packed into parcel that are
booked with UPS for delivery to the labs. There is also a finite amount of
samples and parcels that have historically not been done correctly and will
require manual correction (re-drawing/re-mapping). The role reports to the IT Manager.Key Responsibilities:• Work in
Ballymount office with IT team• Quality control of soil samples received• Updating sample database with correct
information• GPS
Parcel mapping and sample allocation• Correction
of incorrectly mapped parcels (re-drawing)• Flexibility
to focus and prioritize on tasks as required• Preparation
of parcels for UPS courierSkills
and experience:• Basic IT skills (MS Excel, MS Outlook of other email
client etc)• Great attention to detail & Organizational Skills• Able to contribute as part of a team, helping out with
various tasks as required• Ability to work under pressureRequirementsAbility to manage multiple tasks and priorities efficiently.Basic Transport Logistic experience.
