Safeguarding Manager We are seeking an experienced Safeguarding Managerto join a well-respected charity organisation in Dublin. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective implementation of safeguarding policies and procedures, providing expert advice and support to managers, and overseeing compliance with relevant legislation. Location:Dublin Salary:DOE Hours:Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM 5:30 PM Contract Type:Permanent Key Responsibilities: Ensure adherence to the safeguarding policy as approved by the management team. Collaborate with the Chair and National Safeguarding Committee to review and update policies, ensuring alignment with current legislation and best practices. Drafting policy and implementing across the organisation Oversee Garda Vetting Processes to ensure compliance. Support Designated Liaison Persons (DLP) and case management, offering case-specific advice while ensuring statutory reporting obligations are met. Monitor and report on serious incidents, complaints, and disclosures in line with safeguarding protocols. Contribute to the Safeguarding Strategy, actively participating in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration. Experience & Qualifications Required: A Level 8 or higher qualification in Social Work, registered (or eligible for registration) with CORU. Minimum 5 years experience in safeguarding and child protection, including handling allegations, complaints, serious incidents, and investigations. Proven experience in mid/senior management roles, demonstrating leadership in safeguarding. Strong knowledge of GDPR and data protection compliance related to safeguarding.
