Job Overview Our client, a privately owned Irish company based in Longford, is seeking to recruit an IT Administrator. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation, security, and optimization of IT systems and processes.
This includes managing network infrastructure, information security, and disaster recovery systems while ensuring compliance with company IT policies.
Additionally, you will work closely with end users and management to analyse system requirements, develop reporting tools, and optimize procedures in DELMIAWorks to align with financial and operational processes.
Key responsibilities include automating tasks, integrating systems, developing SOPs, and providing training to enhance organizational efficiency.
You will also contribute to project management by troubleshooting issues, coordinating with subcontractors, and driving improvements across IT and ERP systems.
Regular monitoring, documentation, and communication with stakeholders are integral to this role, requiring occasional travel between sites to support initiatives and ensure smooth implementation.
Qualifications Completed vocational training as an IT specialist equivalent.

Oversee and manage network equipment, services, and infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, switches, servers, and video conferencing systems.
Monitor and maintain information security measures, antivirus protection, remote access systems, internet usage policies, and the wide area network.
Drive the development and accessibility of SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and ensure employee training and updates are regularly conducted.
Coordinate with end users and management to identify system requirements, reporting needs, and areas for process improvement.
Support the operation, development, and maintenance of networks, Servers and disaster recovery systems.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define problems, create solutions, and implement preventative measures for recurring issues.
Prepare system specifications that include input and output requirements and align with operational needs.
Develop an understanding of financial processes and their integration with the ERP system.
Monitor customer change requests and track their status to ensure timely implementation.
Create and modify reports and queries using reporting software to improve user efficiency.
Coordinate with teams to explore new B2B solution opportunities and align them with organisational needs.
