RM-TM Specified Purpose Full-Time 169 hours per month Arklow, Co Wicklow We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Community Support Worker to join our services in a residential setting in Arklow, Co.
Wicklow.
As a Community Support Worker, you will be involved in supporting clients to achieve their personal outcomes, build on their potential, and develop positive roles within their home and in the community.
Working hours will be variable including day shifts, sleepovers, waking nights, weekends, and unsociable hours.
Applicants must have:
One year's post qualification experience of working with adults with intellectual disabilityA knowledge of the HIQA regulations and standardsExperience of working alone in a one-to-one environment as well as experience of teamwork (Level 7)
Experience of dealing with behaviours that challenge and with behavioural supportsCPI experienceExperience of teaching skills in cooking, budgeting, cleaning & building confidence skillsUnderstanding and experience of therapeutic interventionsExperience in alternative communicationsExcellent organisation and communication skillsExperience of creative problem-solving techniquesEnthusiasm, energy, and creativityHave the ability to deal with confidential information in a discreet and responsible mannerExcellent IT and report writing skillsHold a full driving licence and be willing to drive location vehiclesBe flexible to work a variety of rostered shifts over a seven-day work periodRequirement:
Applicant must hold a QQI Level 7 in Social Care or Foreign Equivalent (validated by QQI)

Salary Scale:
Successful candidates will be paid as per the HSE consolidated pay scales in line with required qualifications and relevant experience.
