Position Summary:
The Client's Global Finance (The Client's GF) Operational Risk Management (ORM), part of The Client's ORM, performs second-line oversight of operational risk for the Irish legal entity. The successful candidate will provide independent oversight and challenge to the 1st line of defense and ensure that the risk profiles of the region and legal entity are properly understood and operating in line with Operational Risk Appetite.
The role will report locally functionally into the The Client's GF Operational Risk Manager.
Accountabilities:
* Support the The Client's GF Operational Risk Manager in all matters relating to operational risk management.
* Support the The Client's GF Operational Risk Manager in the implementation of The Client's GF's Operational Risk Management Framework.
* Assist with ensuring that The Client's Bank Group (The Client's BG) Operational Risk Management policies and procedures are appropriate for The Client's GF and for developing local policies and procedures as required.
* Assist with ensuring accurate, complete, objective identification and assessment of operational risk for The Client's GF.
* Support the development of The Client's GF Operational Risk Appetite and monitoring (and reporting on) compliance therewith.
* Assist with the facilitation of The Client's GF Risk and Control Self-Assessment programs.
* Coordination of The Client's GF issues management programs.
* Contribute to The Client's GF Scenario Analysis programs.
* Monitor and report on internal and external loss events (and constructively challenge responses to internal loss events).
* Assist with second-line oversight and challenge of outsourcing.
* Provide analysis, interpretation and consolidation of operational risk reporting to The Client's GF CRO for onward reporting to The Client's GF Executive Risk Committee and The Client's GF Board of Directors.
* Ad hoc projects and initiatives as required.
* Maintain full professional knowledge of techniques and developments in operational risk management by keeping current on industry trends and best practice.
* Develop and maintain good relationships with key business and operational risk management partners and other stakeholders.
* Responsible for ensuring that local and functional managers are kept current and apprised of all relevant operational, risk management and control issues.
* Responsible for own good conduct and for contributing to the identification and management of Conduct Risk within the Risk Management function.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in banking Operational Risk Management, preferably in capital markets.
* Educated to degree level.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently.
* High level of dependability with a results-orientation.

* Demonstrated ability to focus on detail.
