We are continuing to grow our Ground Engineering team in the UK and Ireland and are looking for people to join or support our team in Dublin who have the passion and drive to add value and shape positive solutions for major projects in a broad range of markets, including the Transportation, Utilities, Advanced Facilities and Environmental sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide geotechnical input to projects as part of a diverse and highly skilled team of geotechnical engineers and engineering geologists.
* Act as team leader on your own projects, leading or assisting in leading the delivery of geotechnical input.
* Provide technical guidance, support and mentoring to less experienced engineers and technicians.
Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a degree in Geology / Engineering Geology / Geotechnical Engineering.
* Commitment to pursuing chartered status in the foreseeable future.
* Adherence to all Codes of Practice, Design Standards and Health and Safety Regulations.
* Experience with geotechnical software such as SlopeW, OpenGround, etc.
* Experience with mapping/drawing software – ArcGIS, Project Mapper, AutoCAD, Civil 3D etc.
* Preparation of Ground Investigation Tender packs, Scoping Ground Investigations and preparation of Specifications and Bill of Quantities.
* Execution of major projects.
* Geotechnical design and reporting.
* Working on-site with Ground Investigation contractors, understanding of common Ground Investigative techniques, standards, and equipment.
