About the Role
We are on the lookout for a talented Commercial Finance Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the Head of Finance - Customer Services and Logistics, along with key stakeholders across our Customer Services and Logistics business areas.
Your mission will be to deepen the understanding of our business and drive a significant change agenda. You'll focus on cost control, commercial analysis, and providing insightful recommendations that challenge the norm and enhance profitability.
Your primary responsibilities will include taking charge of budgeting, forecasting, and analysis while partnering with key stakeholders such as Operations Leadership and Depot Managers.
You'll play a crucial role in supporting the Customer Services & Logistics team by providing insights on KPIs and variances to forecast/budget and previous years' data, all with a relentless focus on the cost base.
Producing and analysing monthly KPI reports to identify anomalies and issues will be a key part of your role. You will also provide recommendations to improve profitability. You'll investigate current ways of working, write executive summaries to inform key stakeholders, and suggest ways to streamline processes and controls.
Your keen eye for business trends will enable you to provide solutions to improve our current position. You will be accountable for budgeting and reforecasting efforts and provide ad hoc analyses for stakeholders, highlighting issues and recommending remedial actions.
About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with strong Excel skills.
Previous analyst experience is desirable, and industry experience is preferred but not essential.
Experience in business partnering or stakeholder management is also preferred.
