Job Description:
Managing Quantity Surveyor (Contractor)
ICDS are currently recruiting for a Managing Quantity Surveyor (Contractor) for a medium-sized contractor based in North Dublin.
You will have 10+ years’ experience with a main contracting company in Ireland or the UK.
Role
1. Preparation of monthly, interim and final valuations, applications for payment, reconciliations of valuations and costs, and amounts for contract, sub-contractors, specialists and suppliers.
2. Providing the necessary information to enable an accurate and regular review of cash flow and position on contracts to be maintained.
3. Carry out a detailed examination of contract documents and highlight any anomalies.
4. Prepare, submit and agree interim and final valuation dates with client representatives.
5. Prepare all necessary take-offs in advance of the requirements of the Estimating, Procurement and Planning Department.
6. Prepare contract final accounts for each completed section of the works, including all adjustments and submit and agree with client's representatives.
7. Manage and coach contract surveyors, assistant surveyors, and junior surveyors who report to them.
Specific Requirements
1. 7+ years’ experience preferably with a main contractor.
2. Previous project experience on Construction/Civil Engineering projects (Residential, RC Frame, Retail/Commercial, Pharma, Data-centre, Hi-Tech).
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
