Your Role
As the Junior Facilities Engineer, you will:
* Liaise between various ADC departments and external organisations for the successful introduction of new or modified plant and equipment.
* Create, develop, and sustain an environment in which Health and Safety culture is an individual and collective responsibility.
* Ensure all current health and safety legislation and company policies are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Aid, learn and understand the process of installing, repairing new, modified, or existing equipment within complex manufacturing areas, offices, and plant facilities as necessary.
- Assist with Facilities projects, and monitor expenditure accordingly.
- Enhance the installation/maintenance of plant and equipment associated with the site facilities and utilities apparatus.
- Partner with area supervisors for the implementation of works with minimal disruption.
- Represent the facilities team at local and other Departmental or Division wide meetings and communicate the outcomes to the Facilities Manager as necessary.
- Support the adoption of new technology, keeping in mind the current best practices in the industry.
- Maintain all records and reports ensuring availability of same to the management team.
- Adhere to Facilities department quality control procedures for the implementation of all maintenance work and new projects.
- Champion the Department's sustainability Team.
- Assist Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) personnel to ensure that all regulations pertaining to environmental health and safety are followed and supported.
Education and Experience
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- Minimum Level 7 NFQ qualification or equivalent in Engineering.
- Experience of working in a regulated industry environment such as Medical; Aerospace or Fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting competing deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
