Base pay range
We are looking to recruit a Tax Manager, working in our Ireland office.
As the Tax Manager, your main responsibilities will include overseeing tax compliance in Ireland, where the group’s EU insurer is based. You will also manage tax matters for an Irish marine insurer, an Irish branch of a UK-based management company and two entities that are closing down. Additionally, you will assist with global ad-hoc tax queries in collaboration with the Finance Systems & Tax Manager.
What will you be doing?
Key responsibilities will include:
* Oversee Irish Tax Compliance (Corporation Tax, VAT, IPT, Stamp Duty)
* Review IPT calculations for all relevant countries for the Irish insurer
* Manage the annual Country by Country tax reporting for the group
* Assist with the implementation of digital end-to-end VAT reporting
* Play a crucial role in advancing the tax capabilities of the group’s systems, specifically by integrating withholding tax functionality and improving the current IPT functionality within the company’s policy management system
About you
Skills/Qualifications/Experience
* Tax qualification (CTA or equivalent) or Chartered Accountant with at least two years of post-qualified experience
* Private practice trained (tax compliance or VAT team)
* Detailed knowledge of tax legislation
* Analytical with good communication skills
* Excellent attention to detail
* Self-motivated
* Positive attitude to change
* Insurance experience
* Adaptable to changing environments
