About the Role
As a member of our Resident Services Team, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents. This role requires flexibility and the ability to work effectively with all staff members involved in resident care.
* Supervise residents in daily life activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
* Cater for the physical and emotional needs of residents to provide high-quality care.
* Assist in running sections, maintaining professional standards and care.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise and assist residents in daily life activities, adhering to Stewarts Care Policy.
2. Ensure the highest quality of care by catering to the physical and emotional needs of residents.
3. Assist in training residents and report observations to nursing staff and other relevant personnel.
4. Accompany residents to outside clinics and hospitals for specialized treatment or care.
5. Implement nursing treatment as directed by healthcare professionals.
6. Induct new care staff and participate in daily routines.
7. Accept delegated responsibility for residents under the guidance of the Manager/Social Care Worker or Nurse in Charge.
8. Participate in In-service Training Programmes and Fire Prevention and Emergency Training Sessions.
9. Maintain confidentiality, hygiene, and tidiness in assigned areas.
Requirements
* Minimum QQI Level 5 (Healthcare Support) or SKILL-VEC Level 5 (or working towards).
* A strong desire to work with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* A person-centred approach to service user programmes.
* Excellent communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
* Flexibility to meet organisational needs.
* One year's experience working in disability services (preferable). Driver's licence is desirable.
