Position Overview
The primary responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst and BA Lead are to:
* lead the team responsible for delivering high quality end-to-end business analysis across a range of organization-wide projects
* deliver high quality end-to-end business analysis in support of business change activities involving any combination of processes, people or systems (e.g. organizational integration; business change impact; process re-engineering; system evaluation / comparison).
* work effectively with project managers, product managers, technical architects, developers and testers in producing business analysis deliverables to a high quality as part of overall successful change outcomes
New position to support SDS and different geographical entities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Business Analysis Team Lead
* Establish, introduce and maintain best in class processes and standards in the Business Analysis team (covering for example business requirements; business process design; business rules and policies definition; solution optioneering and evaluation; business case with support of Commercial Finance; business readiness needs; problem analysis)
* Embed the processes and tools of the Business Analysis team, defining responsibilities, services, and deliverables, based on the needs of the business
* Lead the Business Analysis team through clear direction and focus to deliver an effective and efficient function, setting individuals’ objectives and managing performance
* Formulate and facilitate requests for projects and change, working with the project managers and business teams as required to help set up and initiate project teams with a clear purpose and appropriate Business Analysis support
* Support capacity planning and management of resources and budget, work with the PMO Lead on future demand, the pipeline of requests and current demand to balance resource deployment in the support portfolio and project delivery
* Develop positive relationships with project sponsors, project managers, teams, and business owners, to engage stakeholders in adopting and understanding business analysis practices
* Support and facilitate unambiguous and timely communication between the Business Analysis team and other teams and functions
* Lead, coach and mentor subject matter experts in the area of business analysis – to aid project success
* Provide coaching and support to business analysts
* Maintain knowledge of market / industry trends for developments of good Business Analysis practice, and developing the BA roles accordingly
Business Analysis
* Document business processes, rules and/or policies, including process flows and business impact documentation. Work closely with stakeholders to define change and establish business future state.
* Actively identify and translate high level business requirements into solution specifications, covering processes, people, technology, and manage changes to such specifications.
* Facilitation of workshops to gather requirements and perform business analysis, understand, interpret and document project scope, objectives, benefits and tasks.
* Plan and deliver business analysis, testing and change management activities in line with the overall project/programme requirements.
* Ensure complex issues are promptly identified, solution developed, and others are effectively engaged to resolve issue.
* Support business case development and costing of required change to obtain budget approval.
* Design entirely new processes and exploit modelling techniques to determine the optimum solution prior to physical implementation. Aid others in the use of analytical and modelling techniques.
* Develop where required Business and Technical administration manuals and other resources to support new processes and solutions.
* Managing development, distribution and baseline approval of all communication related to business requirements and their interpretation, with particular focus on ensuring the prioritised requirements list is kept up to date, as the detail expands and evolves.
* Ensure the impact of business decisions is reviewed in the context of the project/programme in consideration of Scope, Quality and Deadlines.
* Take responsibility for tracking business requirements through to business acceptance.
* Ensure architectural alignment with pre-project strategy and architecture – ensuring the business and technical components of the solution collectively provide a cohesive whole for SDS.
* Ensure requirements defined are of good quality and are analysed and managed appropriately.

Minimum Qualifications
* Proof of authorization to work.
* Bachelor or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or equivalent work experience
* Over 7 years of business analysis experience and experience in leading teams of Business Analysts preferably in a complex change environment
* Broad knowledge of process analysis tools and techniques.
* Experience with B2B and B2C business processes and applications.
* Experience in coaching and supervising other business analysts, IT staff and business subject matter experts
* IIBA certification
* Ability and flexibility to travel and work effectively in different countries and cultures
* Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays in exceptional circumstances
