Senior Executive Scientist - Dublin City Council
Dublin, an international capital city and the economic engine of the region and State, plays a pivotal role in local government. As the largest local authority in Ireland, with 63 Elected Members representing and serving 588,000 people in the city area, it provides a wide range of local authority services including housing, planning, development, environmental, roads, traffic, leisure, and community services.
The Central Laboratory is responsible for managing various teams and services. This includes the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and the Organics and Metals Analytical Laboratories Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing one of these roles, including Quality and Safety Manager/Drinking Water Manager/Microbiology, Parasitology, Biology Manager/Environmental Regulation Manager/Wet Chemistry Manager.
The team consists of five Senior Executive Scientists, each with unique responsibilities. The successful candidate may be assigned to any of these roles at the discretion of the Senior Scientific Officer or as the need arises.
