Undertaking a dual functions and project role, the Contract Manager will be responsible for the development and management of contract processes and procedures, along with the management of pre and post contract requirements on key Infrastructure Department’s Portfolio projects.
Reporting directly to the Head of Contracts and Commercial, the Contracts Manager will ensure that daa’s contract processes and procedures are adhered to, in addition to those in line with the requirements of the awarded Contracts, including framework agreements and Work Orders (call-off contracts).
The Contracts Manager will assist in the development of contracting standards and the processes and templates contained therein, and will drive continuous development and manage adherence within the Infrastructure Department to the NEC suite of Contracts and contracting best practices.
Pre-contract, the Contracts Manager will work closely with the Procurement and Legal teams, providing support to Programme Directors on the engagement of Contractors and/or Consultants in accordance with the Contracting Entity’s procedures and procurement strategy.
Post-contract, the Contracts Manager will be involved in the management and administration of the Contracts, including Work Orders from award to completion, take-over of works, and final assessment. The Senior Contracts Manager supports the review and acceptance of subcontractors and acceptance of subcontract documents in line with contracts.
The Contracts Manager will also oversee the development and monitoring of Contractor and/or Consultant performance based on the contractually agreed Key Performance Indicators and will contribute to the management of any disputes, as required.
