Network Production Planner
Cpl, in partnership with Pfizer, is seeking a Network Production Planner to join their team at the Newbridge site for a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role requires onsite presence throughout the training period and then a hybrid working model going forward.
ROLE SUMMARY:
The Production Planner is responsible for all activities related to production planning, demand/capacity management, plan governance, system parametrization, MD review, and inventory control.
Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the Production Scheduling Team, Production Planning Team, and other stakeholders to ensure a feasible and balanced supply plan in accordance with agreed service levels, safety stock, raw material, and supply plans.
* Responsible for performing in compliance with the global model and suggesting improvements while working with the team lead and global process owner through the IMEx framework.
Key Activities:
* Review alerts (exceeding threshold); identify proposed changes; prioritize orders, working with the scheduling team.
* Attend the Material Supply Tier 1 meeting; share urgent issues and escalate into Tier 2 boards.
* Actively participate in Cross Site calls: flag demand signal issues; identify network material supply issues and proposed plan changes; ensure alignment of demand and supply signals.
* Handover orders to the scheduling team ensuring network material availability.
* Conduct weekly 'handshake' meetings with Production Schedulers to discuss priorities and monitor/control schedule break-ins.
Demand/Capacity Management:
* Support monthly demand changes analysis flagging substantial changes in demand and analyze results with the planning team lead to evaluate impacts and address concerns with stakeholders.
* Liaise with upstream/downstream supplying sites to interrogate and validate demand changes; identify root causes; ensure system requirements up-to-date.
* Model system demand gaps caused by source change.
* Work with network stakeholders to resolve demand signal issues.
* Support scenarios planning analysis.
* Manage resource capacity in the system to ensure a feasible plan and correct demand signal upstream.
* Collaborate with Production Scheduling Team to resolve asset balancing trade-offs.
Plan Governance:
* Support allocation plan with BSL guidance and handover to Scheduling (in constrained supply scenarios).
* Participate in weekly supply governance calls to troubleshoot low stock issues and balance cost vs. supply trade-offs.
* Track root causes and prioritize remediation and prevention actions.
Parameters and Metrics:
* Review/update system supply chain Master Data.
* Monitor Key Planning Metrics (such as Market coverage, etc.) and take actions to improve them; escalate metrics within Tier structure.
Inventory Control:
* Evaluate inventory usage of network materials and avoid obsolescence by checking ageing.
* Track, review, and communicate network material I inventory vs. target MoH.
* Monitor network material shelf life; ensure adherence to RIDS avoidance processes; coordinate RIDS process with site MRB.
Qualifications:
* BS/BA in Technical or Business field required (supply chain management, systems, or industrial engineering); advanced degree a plus.
* Experience in Logistics and Supply Chain Management in Pharmaceutical Industry or equivalent.
* Proven experience in supply and inventory planning and operational execution.
* Understanding of logistics and supply chain environment, process development, and ERP/advanced planning systems (e.g., APO, ECC, BI) and best practices.
* Demonstrated analytical, strategic thinking/planning, and problem-solving skills.
* Understanding of manufacturing and packaging activities.
* Ability to work effectively in an environment of competing priorities with concurrent deadlines.
* Ability to work in a complex matrix organization with strong teamwork orientation.
* Ability to interact, build effective relationships at all levels of the organization.
