Job Title:
A Production Team Lead is required to supervise and support a team of production operators in a fast-paced medical device manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
* Lead a team of 15 production operators, providing direct front-line leadership and support to assigned production cells/areas.
* Mentor and train team members to ensure they are adequately trained and competent in their roles.
* Ensure the company's behaviours (BUILDS) are respected and followed, maintaining a positive team atmosphere in the production area.
* Responsible for ensuring that people management issues are effectively resolved in accordance with company policies and procedures, completing performance reviews for the team.
* Ensure products are built in accordance with the production schedule, achieving KPI targets for safety, output, quality, and productivity.
* Maintain accurate records of output, defects, and downtime, escalating issues as necessary.
* Collaborate with the Quality team to resolve quality issues in a timely manner, ensuring all paperwork associated with products is completed accurately.
* Perform standard work audits, addressing any issues found, and ensure compliance with GMP, Safety, 5S, and good housekeeping obligations.
* Contribute to the LPMS system, completing improvement tasks efficiently and effectively, and participate in interviewing and selecting new employees.
* Adhere to Plant Safety requirements and Health & Safety regulations, assuming responsibility for aspects of the OH&S System over which you have control.
* Be aware of potential environmental impacts associated with your work and contribute to enhanced energy performance by conserving energy where possible.
* Demonstrate leadership and commitment to the OH&S, Environmental, and Energy Management Systems, developing a culture that supports their intended outcomes.
Qualifications:
* Previous experience as a line lead/team leader or equivalent role required, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar position.
* Experience working in a medical device manufacturing environment is essential.
* Ability to learn and understand production worksteps, assess work content, and understand line balancing.
* Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential, along with being self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision.
