Duties and Responsibilities of the Role:
* Assist in food preparation tasks as directed by the senior chefs
* Assist in cooking and plating dishes, following recipes and guidelines set by the kitchen leadership
* Maintain cleanliness and tidiness in the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment
* Help with portioning and plating of dishes to ensure consistency and presentation standards are met
* Assist in receiving and storing food supplies, rotating stock, and notifying senior chefs when supplies need replenishing
* Ensure that workstations and kitchen equipment are kept clean and organised
* Assist in setting up and operating kitchen equipment, such as ovens, stoves, mixers and following safety guidelines
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations, implementing best practices in food handling and sanitation
* Actively learn from and follow the guidance of the kitchen leadership, seeking to improve culinary skills
