We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic team in Ireland.
In this pivotal role, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and delivery of the building of commercial and manufacturing facilities, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will work closely with clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure all project stakeholders are aligned and working toward shared goals.
A key focus of this role is maintaining strict quality control, proactively managing risks, and ensuring defect-free completion prior to handover.
Key Responsibilities Report directly to the Construction Director or Project Director.
Brief and assign responsibilities to the project team, including site managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
Develop, manage, and maintain the Project Execution Plan.
Oversee the performance of internal teams and third-party contractors.
Manage communication flow between internal and external project stakeholders.
Establish and oversee risk management and opportunity procedures, including early warning systems.
Manage project scope, schedule, and budget effectively through procurement and contractual arrangements.
Support procurement processes by evaluating and negotiating subcontractor bids.
Implement value engineering and innovative construction solutions where applicable.
Manage day-to-day site activities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
Lead the development of project plans, strategies, and key deliverables.
Enforce quality assurance, inspection, and testing regimes.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to site teams, engineers, and contractors.
Oversee the completion, handover, and closeout of project sections and final deliverables.
Resolve project issues, delays, and conflicts promptly and professionally.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including schedules, budgets, change orders, and progress reports.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to industry best practices.
Manage the timely closure of non-conformances, defects, and lessons learned.
Define and implement protocols for the Defects Liability Period.
Lead client walkdowns, inspections, and approval processes.
Manage client relationships, expectations, and communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Ensure all project activities adhere to safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Skills & Experience Required A bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Minimum of 6 years experience managing large-scale construction projects across Ireland, the UK, and Europe.
Strong understanding of building systems, MEP integration, and construction processes.
Proven ability to manage complex procurement, supply chain, and subcontractor contracts.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence teams, clients, and subcontractors effectively.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, industry standards, and quality management systems.
Experience with project management tools and methodologies (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
