Head of Finance - Not for ProfitThis is a key leadership role that oversees the financial management and governance of the organisation. As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for providing financial guidance, ensuring regulatory compliance, and optimising financial performance.Job DescriptionFinancial Strategy and Planning:Develop and implement financial strategy in alignment with overall objectives.Provide strategic financial leadership on decision-making issues.Financial Reporting:Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.Budgeting and Forecasting:Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and objectives.Provide regular financial forecasts and variance analyses to support decision-making.Risk Management:Identify potential financial risks and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.Develop and maintain a robust internal control framework.Cash Management:Manage cash flow and liquidity, ensuring optimal utilisation of funds.Implement effective treasury management practices.Financial Modelling:Conduct financial modelling and analysis to support strategic initiatives, investments, and business development opportunities.Tax Compliance:Oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting.Stay informed about changes in Irish tax laws and regulations.Strategic Partnerships:Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and stakeholders to optimise financial relationships and support business objectives.Team Leadership:Mentor finance team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.Recruit, train, and develop finance staff as necessary.Fundraising and Grants:Managing the multiple income fundraising sources including the HSE, private and corporate.Qualifications & Experience:Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA or Master's degree in finance or accounting preferred.3 years+ progressive financial leadership experience.Proven track record of success in senior financial leadership roles, preferably in a comparable not for profit organisation.Salary: €80,000 - €100,000 per annum
