This role will be Head of Service to lead the Innovation and Continuous Improvement (I&CI) pillar within the Strategic &Transformation function (S&T). The I&CI function will provide a broad mix of multi-disciplinary services and will interact widely throughout AGS. The I&CI will largely face outwards from S&T to the wider organisation. ??This PO resource will be responsible for overseeing all activity that takes place in this pillar and ensuring performance objectives are being met. This includes the management of a team split across four (4) sub-teams as outlined below. The Benefits Realisation team responsible for tracking and reporting on ongoing benefits realisation, undertaking post-programme evaluations, and sharing lessons learned with the S&T management team and wider AGS organisation. The Process Improvement Team responsible for providing business process improvement expertise to the wider organisation. This involves deploying process improvement methods such as Lean and Six Sigma to redesign processes that will ultimately maximise the delivery of value to the organisation. The Innovation Hub responsible for working closely with programme / project leads and business/organisation leads to provide advice and guidance around introducing innovative initiatives into business-as-usual activities - throughout the organisation. The Enterprise Change Management team is responsible defining, maintaining and driving adoption of the singular, consistent approach to change management across the organisation. Essential Criteria ???????The ideal candidate will hold a qualification at minimum Level 8 in the National Framework of Qualifications (Honours Bachelor Degree level). Five or more years of experience in a leadership role within transformation programmes / functions, including process improvement, benefits management and / or managing an innovation / continuous improvement team in a large organisation. Experience operating at Senior Management level, influencing strategic planning and decision making and leading large teams of 10 - 15+ individuals. Significant process improvement and transformation experience, having worked in a variety of roles delivering and focused on identifying, planning and delivering process and organisational improvement. ???????Desirable Criteria ???????A relevant certification (e.g. Lean Six Sigma) or qualification (e.g. Higher Diploma or Certificate) in Process Improvement, Innovation or a related discipline. Experience in a dedicated leadership role in more than one organisation, or experience outside of the Civil Service, or international experience (e.g. working abroad or significant engagement with international organisations and processes).
