STORES LEAD | PERMANENT | CORK Our client is looking for an experienced Store Lead to oversee the day-to-day of the warehouse. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES| Overseeing and enhancing store operations to ensure smooth, accurate, and cost-effective processes. Developing and implementing inventory control procedures to optimiser stock levels, reduce shortages, and minimise waste. Managing a small team of store personnel, including providing training, mentoring, and supervision of daily tasks. Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper handling, storage, and movement of materials. Conducting stock audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory levels and ensure compliance with company policies. Forecasting and planning daily work scopes to ensure operational efficiency. Identifying and implementing process improvements to streamline work flows, reduce delays, and enhance cost-efficiency. Receiving deliveries and verifying the accuracy of goods received. Liaising with suppliers to resolve any discrepancies in stock or deliveries. Keeping detailed records of stock shortages and spare items. Updating inventory management systems regularly to reflect accurate stock levels. Picking and delivering goods using a forklift as required. Organising and delivering materials from the store to relevant departments. REQUIREMENTS| Proven experience in stores, warehouse, or inventory management, including goods-in and goods-out processes. Forklift operation experience. Basic IT skills and familiarity with inventory management systems. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to work efficiently and methodically. Excellent work ethic and ability to lift heavy items. Able to perform physical tasks. Team player with the ability to work independently.
