The Opportunity
This role involves working within the Bridge Civil Structures team in Dublin or Cork or remotely from one of the Arup offices in Poland on various exciting projects. As an experienced Technician, you'll continue to develop your technical skills and career. You'll work closely with fellow Engineers and Technicians in Dublin/Cork and Limerick, enhancing Arup's Bridge Civil Structures capabilities.
As a Bridge Civil Structures Technician at Arup, you will:
* Produce 3D models and drawings for all project stages.
* Create BIM documentation and coordinate with various disciplines using Bentley or Autodesk BIM Solutions.
* Produce detailed drawings using MicroStation powered solutions or AutoCAD.
* Check and ensure accuracy and quality of outputs.
* Manage project time to meet deadlines.
* Create project-related correspondence and reports.
* Contribute to best practices and processes via the Arup skills network.
* Participate in presentations and workshops.
* Seek further development opportunities with provided guidance and feedback.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Technician with excellent technical and software skills who enjoys collaborating in multi-professional design teams. Your long-term goal will be to understand the engineering design process and explore various software capabilities to streamline our work delivery.
To succeed in this role, you should have:
* HNC/HND in Civil Engineering (Structures) or equivalent qualifications with obtained 3D modelling skills.
* Experience with CAD packages and 3D design packages (Bentley MicroStation and OpenBridge, Autodesk Revit).
* Proficiency in office software (Word, Excel) and previous experience working with information management solutions like ProjectWise.
* Ability to coach and develop junior technicians.
* Degree in Engineering or a related field.
* Understanding of bridges and civil structures, and their interaction with railways and roads specialists.
* Previous experience in reinforcement and steelwork detailing.
* Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills.
