This business is part of a product and tech-focused company operating multiple brands online and in retail. You will be part of the retail operations team, managing a small team at the ground level in a fast-paced and exciting environment with the experience, security and leadership of an established business that has been in operation for decades.
What you will be doing:
As an Assistant Manager, you will be supporting the Retail Manager in the day-to-day operation of the club. You will build relationships with our customers ensuring they enjoy our products and services responsibly. Customer focus, people skills, and the ability to successfully multi-task are essential in the world of retail management.
Specific industry experience is not required, candidates will be considered with a strong retail or hospitality background i.e., Assistant Store Manager in Food Retailer, Discount Store or Phone Retailers, etc, Assistant Hotel Manager, etc.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Manager to oversee and ensure the smooth running of outlet.
Delivering 5 Star excellence in Customer Service.
Dealing with all customer queries efficiently, professionally, and consistently with company policy.
Promote good communication between employees and management.
Recruit, develop, lead, motivate and retain your team.
Engage with new initiatives and embrace new ways of working.
Drive operational standards throughout the company.
Complete club procedures and administration and ensure compliance with policies and practices.

What you need to be successful in this role:
Minimum 2 years Assistant Manager experience in retail or hospitality.
Strong planning and organisation skills, ability to plan and prioritise work schedule and work within agreed timescales.
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing
IT proficient, with experience of working with Microsoft Word, Excel and the aptitude to learn in-house systems.
Ability to influence wider business stakeholders.
Experience in delivering coaching/training in the moment to ensure that customers have a great experience.
Ability to deal with tough situations in a calm and professional manner.
