Job Title: Gypsum Plant Managing Director.Location: Waterford Ireland.We are working with our client to find a dynamic leader for the position of Managing Director for their new Gypsum Board business. This is a key role with full P&L responsibility and management of the Gypsum plant leadership team, including sales, operations, finance, business development, and engineering. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Managing Director and will be tasked with driving business growth, expanding into new markets, coaching and mentoring the management team, and working with international counterparts to implement successful strategies from other markets.Key Responsibilities:Lead and oversee the Gypsum Plant’s operations, ensuring smooth and efficient day-to-day management.Take full P&L responsibility and drive profitability across all areas of the business.Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing management team across sales, operations, finance, business development, and engineering.Collaborate with international entities to adapt successful strategies from other markets to the Irish and UK construction sectors.Focus on driving business growth, expanding into new markets, and enhancing market share.Improve operational efficiencies, maximise profitability, and ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.Influence the setup and operational strategy of the business, with manufacturing not expected to commence until early 2027.Work closely with senior management and other leaders within the group to drive the company’s overall strategic objectives forward.Foster a strong, collaborative company culture, ensuring alignment with the family-owned business values and ethos.Key Qualifications:Proven leadership experience with a strong track record in developing and retaining high-performing teams and managing businesses with 50+ employees.Experience in the Gypsum, manufacturing, or construction-related industries.Demonstrable experience in P&L management and driving financial performance.Strong commercial acumen, with a strategic and entrepreneurial mindset to drive business growth.Experience managing multiple routes to market and establishing business presence in competitive environments.Familiarity with or willingness to work within a family-owned business culture.Proven ability to drive operational efficiencies and improve profitability.Willingness to be based near or commute to Ireland.Project management experience is a bonus.Why Apply:This is a unique opportunity to lead a financially robust business with a highly engaged team and strong market reputation.
