Maintenance Technician - Days
Your New Company Our client is a specialist, precision manufacturer with sites located across the globe and more than 60 years of expertise within their field.
Your New Role
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will ensure all plant, equipment and services on site are operational and maintained in a safe working order.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Diagnosis of equipment faults in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and electronic disciplines
* Prioritise work as events occur
* Effect repairs where possible, seeking technical assistance when necessary
* Identify and provide requisitions for parts and materials required for repair or installation
* Plan for and assist with the installation of new or relocated equipment
* Carry out routine inspections of plant/equipment
* Ensure safe working procedures are maintained at all times
What You'll Need To Succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:
* Time served Apprenticeship in mechanical or electrical discipline
* Minimum 2 years post apprenticeship experience in a modern machine shop
* Experience of working with CNC Turning & Milling Multi-Axis Machines
* Ability to work safely, with little supervision
* Good communication and decision-making/problem-solving skills
* A results-focused self-starter with excellent analytical skills
Benefits
You will earn a strong hourly rate of £18.95 for working a highly attractive shift pattern on days (Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30 + early finish Friday 08:00 - 13:00)
